AVS helps members form and maintain worldwide communities interested in common areas of science and engineering. AVS supports international members by providing professional development opportunities, managing international conferences, and growing relationships with international affiliates and chapters.
Objectives
- Continue adding and solidifying the relationship with international affiliates and chapters
- Engage international members at all levels of the society, including committees, divisions, invited speakers at conferences, and candidates for elected positions
- Expand international event management of conferences
- Attract more international industrial partners
- Leverage overseas members, affiliates, and chapters to grow and expand our products
