AVS provides education, professional development, and networking opportunities to enable its members to succeed in the global scientific and engineering communities. The Society provides these opportunities both in-person, through its conferences and workshops, and on-line through webinars, publications, and videos.
Objectives
- Establish a recognizable and clearly defined identity of AVS.
- Increase # of career building, networking, and collaborative opportunities across the lifecycle of members (e.g., professional development).
- Increase member knowledge of AVS opportunities and engagement (e.g. division introductions, chapter engagement, etc.).
- Respond to member needs.
- Virtual platform – Increase accessibility to AVS resources through digital content delivery (E&O, webinars, how-to videos).
